Ahmed Abdulmajeed Alabdulkarim earned a master's degree from KAUST in 2011. His research interests are in the field of big data, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and he is now pursuing his Ph.D. at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the U.S. He received his bachelor's degree with honors in computer science from King Saud University, where he graduated at the top of his class. From a young age, Alabdulkarim was passionate about computers. Studying computer science was his drive and motivation to continue his university studies. He explained that he chose KAUST for
